PMI SUMMIT Special Session: Project Management

Dear Colleagues, Researchers and Participants;

A special session of Symposium on Production Research 2016 will be held in collaboration with the Project Management Institute (PMI) Summit. The main theme of the special session is “4th Industrial Revolution in Project Management” in alignment with the main theme of the symposium.

In this special session, studies in academic and industrial fields will be shared and the current problems discussed in the pursuit of increasing needs of activities related to project management. The session aims to bring together researchers, students, industry professionals, and experts in other institution/s from different fields in order to share actively their knowledge, experience and expertise considering the effects of project management at global, national, industry, organizational, and individual levels. In this context, one of the most important goals is to contribute for enhancing and spreading of knowledge in project management with the support and involvement of researchers and practitioners working in the project management discipline and also in a discipline using project management as a tool or intersection.

 Nowadays, project management covers planning, scheduling, budgeting, and controlling activities to meet the project objectives. In addition, it includes fields such as integration, change, and communication management requiring integrated approaches. It encompasses social disciplines such as human resource management, leadership, and conflict management as well. Therefore, in this particular session it is aimed to give research and real life examples associated with all these fields.

Important information: This special session will be a part of Symposium on Production Research 2016.
